Objectives
The Resuscitation Science Symposium(ReSS) is an international forum for fundamental, translational, clinical and population scientists and care providers to discuss recent advances related to treating cardiopulmonary arrest and life-threatening traumatic injury.
With a growing understanding of the shared pathophysiology between cardiac arrest and traumatic injury at multiple levels of biological organization, ReSS can provide a unique opportunity for transdisciplinary interactions that rapidly translate advances in the resuscitation field from fundamental to translational to clinical to population science.
ReSS Awards
Best Abstract Awards
Four people will receive the ReSS Best Abstract Award for top-scoring abstracts submitted to the Resuscitation Science Symposium. Two awards will be presented for abstracts pertaining to cardiac resuscitation science and two awards will be presented pertaining to trauma resuscitation science. To be eligible to receive one of these awards, attendees must submit an abstract to the Resuscitation Science Symposium pertaining to either cardiac or trauma resuscitation science and receive a top-score for that abstract.
Young Investigator Awards
Several Young Investigator Awards will be presented for top-scoring abstracts submitted to the Resuscitation Science Symposium. Awards will be given for abstracts pertaining to cardiac and trauma resuscitation science. To be eligible to receive one of these awards, young investigators (researchers/clinicians within the first five years of their appointment) must submit an abstract to the Resuscitation Science Symposium, receive a top-score for that abstract and be a member of the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association.
