Welcome from Program Chairs Robert Harrington, M.D., and Harold Dauerman, M.D.

Dear Colleagues,

"We welcome you to the American Heart Association's Interventional Cardiology Track. The AHA Scientific Sessions is a very large, prestigious meeting with more than 17,000 attendees in 2008. The Interventional Cardiology Track is dedicated programming, international faculty and space for the particular scientific, intellectual and clinical challenges that interventional cardiologists face daily. The 2008 ICT had 1,353 interventional cardiologists (with more than 40 percent representing international participants) engaged in scientific abstract discussion, expert presentations and clinical case reviews devoted to the four key areas of our field: coronary imaging, coronary intervention, percutaneous structural heart treatments and endovascular therapies. We look forward to seeing you in Orlando in November 2009 and welcome your comments and suggestions for the AHA's Interventional Cardiology Track."
